Our Troop believes in and practices the Boy Scout philosophy of boy leadership: "Whatever a Boy Can Do, He Should Do." We believe that boys build character, gain confidence and develop leadership skills by making their own decisions (and mistakes). Adults offer suggestions, provide transportation and anticipate safety issues, but the boys are encouraged to take initiative in seeking opportunities for advancement and adventure.
For you trivia buffs, we call ourselves "The Texas Troop" because it was on April 21, 1836 that Texas won its independence from Mexico at the Battle of San Jacinto.
